چکیده
The present study attempted to explore the great sayings and conduct of Imam Ali (AS), besides his moral-military values, regarding resistance against enemies in battlefields in the sermons of Nahj-ul-Balagha, valid history books, and Hadith. Imam Ali (AS) has been the shining exemplar of resistance and perseverance. He has advised his fellows and commanders to have individual and collective resistance in different sermons (26, 34, 66, 92) and letters (1, 11, 53) with short valuable statements. This is an analytic-descriptive study, using the data gathered from libraries. It has examined the themes related to resistance and perseverance expressed in different occasions in Imam Ali’s sermons and letters. The findings showed that Imam Ali (AS) has trained his fellows and commanders to resist, using short influential statements.
